Crypto Investor Running for Congress in Nevada

Lisa Song Sutton, a crypto investor and influencer, has announced her candidacy for congress in the 2020 elections. Tapping into the immense potential of cryptocurrencies to improve livelihoods across America, Sutton is running for a House of Representatives seat in the fourth congressional district of Nevada.

Running on a Republican party platform, she is one of the nine primary challengers the party will see in this year’s election before the winner gets to challenge the presumptive Democratic nominee, the incumbent Steven Horsford. So come May, the country could see the first candidate with an extensive crypto investor background to get elected into office. While John McAfee, the eccentric Bitcoin billionaire, has also announced his candidacy for the presidential elections, Sutton wants to become the first congressperson from a crypto background.

If she wins, she will definitely like to join the congressional blockchain caucus which is right now being attended by GOP congressmen David Schweikert (Arizona) and Tom Emmer (Minnesota) and Democrats Bill Foster (Illinois) and Darren Soto (Florida). This small, but growing blockchain caucus is expected to become stronger with time as the technology penetrates into the community through a number of applications.
