- Crypto exchange Phemex has put out a Bitcoin puzzle which holds 2.1 Bitcoins worth USD 17,000 that remains unsolved
On 16 January, crypto derivatives trading platform Phemex Tweeted a puzzle that holds 2.1 Bitcoins, equivalent to nearly USD 17,000 at the time of writing. The puzzle is literally an image of Satoshi Nakamoto, or at least what most people envision Satoshi Nakamoto to look like even if it is not accurate. The image is comprised of a maze, and somehow this maze can be turned into a private key for 1.1 Bitcoins. After that, whoever solves the puzzle simply has to prove their ownership of the private key and they will receive another 1 Bitcoin from Phemex.
2.1 #BTC are hidden in this picture, can you solve it? 🏆
If you can’t, RT tagging the smartest person you know: everyone in the RT chain that led the winner to the puzzle will receive a $100 trading bonus 💸#Phemex2BTC #Bitcoin #Competition #Giveaway #Crypto #Blockchain #News pic.twitter.com/jIyTK2gwre

Since it has been over a week and the puzzle remains unsolved, Phemex Co-Founder Max Wong released some hints. The private key derived from the image is a big integer and not in wallet import format, the words in the image can be converted into a 27 digit number, and the 21 digit prime number 957496696762772407663 is somehow involved.
Certainly, this seems like a great opportunity for someone who is a mathematician to become Bitcoin rich. However, it is definitely a hard puzzle to crack, with the entire internet trying for over a week with no success so far.
