Coinbase Offers Users $100 Million in XLM for Stellar Protocol Study

US-based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is offering over USD 100 million in Stellar Lumens (XLM) to users who would like to participate in a study of the Stellar protocol.

The initiative is part of Coinbase’s cryptocurrency-focused educational program, Coinbase Earn. It is available to select US users who can earn a maximum of USD 50 each for participating in the program. The exchange says the first group of invitations to participate has already been sent; users outside of the US that are interested in the programme were invited to sign up to the waiting list.

This Coinbase Earn program was developed in partnership with Stellar, the native token of which (XLM) is currently ranked 9th by market capitalization, according to CoinMarketCap. Participants will be shown a series of five educational videos and then quizzed on the relevant content before earning their rewards.

XLM was added to Coinbase‘s main retail investor platform earlier this month, although clients in the UK or New York are currently unable to access this service.

Other programs on Coinbase Earn include courses on Zcash, Brave, and Ox.
